BIOGRAPHY

Ms. Hannah Gibson studies music education and plays euphonium, trombone, and tuba as a senior at Boise State University under the teachings of Dr. Sarah Paradis and Dr. Bill Waterman. Ms. Gibson works as a brass technician for Rocky Mountain High School Grizzly Marching Band and a private euphonium and trombone instructor. Previously, she served as the music librarian for Mr. Marcellus Brown and Dr. Joe Tornello. Ms. Gibson currently serves as president of the BSU Tuba-Euphonium Club 2019-20, and previously as the president of Boise State NAfME-C 2018-19, Low Brass Club secretary 2018-19 and euphonium section leader for Blue Thunder Marching Band 2017-19. Ms. Gibson plans to grow her knowledge as a future music educator and performer within the Treasure Valley and beyond.

 

Currently, Ms. Gibson plays with the BSU Symphonic Winds, Boise State Jazz Orchestra, Blue Thunder Marching Band, Trombone Choir, and Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble. In high school, she had the privilege of playing principal euphonium in the 2016 IMEA All-State Band and placed first at the Idaho State Solo competition.  


Ms. Gibson provides great gratitude to her past and current teachers, including Dr. Sarah Paradis, Dr. Bill Waterman, Mr. Marcellus Brown, Mrs. Brittany Brings, Mr. Phil Hartman,  and Mr. Daniel Quatrone.
